The Log Cabin style blocks are colored to alternate with the appliqu blocks and create a dynamic framing of your favorite 5 vignettes. One appliqu in particular will shine from the center of the quilt. The charming geometric blocks that border the quilt have a colorful square on point styling, that is reminiscent of crocheted afghans.

You could also replace the appliqu block positions with coveted vintage pieces, or any favorite 16 finished block. Let the colors of these feature blocks guide the palette for the whole quilt.
