Colour:
Shades:Slate grey hues weave throughout this soft and reassuringly cosy Donegal tweed herringbone. Traditional flecks (or neps) in cool natural white and sparse, subtle hints of earthy brown are interwoven with a classic navy blue herringbone detail with multitonal mid grey, forming the background to create this magnificent Donegal Tweed herringbone. A subtle fusion of marvellous natural fibres is perfect. Combining blue and greys, with white flecks, gives a cool and classic look, like water cascading over slate.
Design: Look closely, and a classic herringbone weave can be perceived within this Lambswool Donegal Tweed. The flecked nature of the Donegal yarns sitting against the slate melange yarns of the weft creates an obscured effect to the weave.
Overall: A classic and timeless fabric, a fusion of new wool and a seriously stylish colour, all woven together in a classic herringbone weave, producing this naturally warming wool fabric with sophistication at its core.
Properties:
Texture: The100% new wool composition provides a soft texture. Lightly brushed and felted finish for a cosy yet traditional wool feel.
Handle:This Donegal tweed is stable and hard-wearing, with gentle natural bias ease- the lightly felted finish makes the fabric less prone to fraying.
Drape: This cosy medium-weight Donegal tweed drapes reassuringly when used at length, and is malleable and cosy.
