About the Prints

Ocean Adventures was inspired by a short summer break with family to the beautiful seaside town of St. Andrews in Scotland. Surrounded by stunning views of the ocean glistening in the sunshine, I was amazed by the natural patterns found on the fish, sea urchins, seaweed and sand dollars.

About the Artist

Lisa is a freelance surface pattern designer based in Glasgow, Scotland, who has a passion for drawing, painting and embroidery. Lisa is constantly inspired by the beauty found in nature and records this within her daily sketch book practice. Lisas love of drawing started at a very young age and was often her favorite past time. This hunger for being creative developed through her school years where the only place she wanted to be was in the art department. After studying illustration in collage, Lisa was inspired by the beautiful fabrics used to create patchwork quilts which launched her interest in surface pattern design. Years of studying while raising her two young sons, she finally learned the skills of creating repeat patterns and nothing gives her more joy than seeing her fabric collections being used to create beautiful garments, quilts and accessories.
