Boiled Wool Fabric

Beautifully soft boiled wool fabric in a lovely petrol blue colour, perfect for Autumn and Winter dressmaking. Boiled wool has all the great properties of normal wool fabric and is naturally water resistant, warm and long-lasting.

When the wool is boiled, the woven woolshrinks and the resulting fabric becomes denser and moretightly woven, making it softer and even warmer than regular wool. It is also water resistant, so perfect for outerwear including coats and jackets.

Boiled wool doesn’t need pre-washing and is easy to sew. This blue boiled wool would make a stunning coat or jacket.
