Level:Beginner – Rose is not complicated to knit but still contains several techniques to master to guarantee nice finishes, so it makes a perfect 2nd knitting project.

Yarn: Mrinos silk

(70 % Merino SW 30 % mulberrysilk)- fingering. 200 m + for 50 gr

THE TECHNIQUES:

  • Roses body is knitted in stockinette stitch in the round
  • German short rows allow the back neckline to be raised slightly
  • Right lifted increases
  • 1/1 ribs and 2/2 ribs
  • Flat satin stitch embroidery
  • French knot embroidery

NOTIONS:

3mm/60-80cm circular needles, 2.5mm circular needles for ribbing, row counter, markers, cable needle, scrap yarn or cord, tapestry needle.

Measurements are given for the finished chest circumference. This model is designed with an approximate ease, between 5 cm and 10 cm* and is intended for a stature of 165 cm. Do not hesitate to adapt the length according to your size.
*If you are hesitating between 2 sizes, choose the smaller one if you are making the t-shirt version, which will go with less comfort, or the larger one if you are making the jumper or cardigan version, which will go with more great ease.

GAUGE:

Stockinette stitch: 4 / 10 cm = 28 sts x 36 rows (3 mm US 2.5 needle)
