How to Die Cut 2-color Flying Swallows Blocks:

For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwisegrain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller. Tip: Thedie is specially designed to cut one complete 2-color 12″finished block in one pass through the cutter.

  • Fabric Color 1 (Background):
    • Cut a 4 7/8″ x Width of Fabric (WOF) strip. Fanfold into 4 7/8″ lengths over shape A. Cut 8.
    • Cut a 3 7/8″ x WOF strip. Fanfold into 3 7/8″ lengths over shape B. Cut 8.
    • Cut a 3 3/4″ x WOF strip. Fanfold into 3 3/4″ lengths over shape C. Cut 16.
    • Cut a 3 1/8″ x WOF strip. Fanfold into 3 1/8″ lengths over shape D. Cut 32.
  • Fabric Color 2 (Flying Swallows):
    • Cut a 3 1/2″ x WOF strip. Fanfold into 5″ lengths over shape E. Cut 24.
