Red Handloom Pure Katan Silk Jamawar Banarasi Fabric With Three Color Zari
The exclusively hand loomed authentic Katan Silk fabric designed with crimson and plum hues, and interlaced with pure zari using the Jamawar technique of weaving, is another elegant feather in the widely diverse collection of Weaver Story. Embellished with not only one but three different coloured zari silk threads, the stern fabric is densely curated right on the banks of River Ganges, in the holistic city of Banaras. The red material carries the undertones of orange and pink shades, and sets a stark yet worthy contrast with the golden motifs fabricated using the ancient and rare Jamawar methodology.
Initially originated in Persia and then travelled to the northern regions of Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, Banarasi Jamawar technique uses separate yarns to create the floral and fauna-like motifs on the fabric, without creating a fuss in the back as no filaments are left unstitched.Adorned with this vintage Jamawar weaving technique, each pattern is divergent than the previous one, but the lack of any blank space creates a sense of uniformity and adds substantial weight to the classy ensemble. The heaviness of this ethnic attire makes it a must for the bridal trousseau, granting it a special place in any newly weds’ closet.
