Fabric Requirements for Bag with Interior Pockets & Recessed Zipper

• 2/3 yard of fabric for outside body of bag

  yard of fabric for straps and recessed zipper

  2/3 yard of fabric for lining

  yard of fabric for interior pockets + yard SF101

  Optional: Fat Quarter of fabric for bottom Panel (will need pieced if you are making a 24 wide tote)

  1 yard X 40 (minimum) of foam stabilizer such as Fusible In-R-Form (single or double-sided) or ByAnnie Soft & Stable

  Basting Glue or Elmers School Glue

  30 or 40 zipper

  Zipper foot for your machine

  Coordinating thread for topstitching around the back and on zipper panel
